What do you think you’ve struggled with the most after leaving education?
At uni you have so much free time, so it’s difficult not having as much time when you’re working 9-5. It makes meeting up with friends/going to the gym/having time to yourself so hard to fit in – and at uni you take those things for granted!
What do you wish you’d known or had done before leaving university?
It’s so so normal not to get a job straight after uni, so don’t stress and get sad about not having one at the end of your last year – so many people are feeling the same way.
Do you think there’s enough resources out there for young people making the transition from education to adult life? (If so, what? If not, what do you want to see more of?)
The careers help at uni is so helpful, you just need to be willing to go and see them while you’re there (when you’re only really thinking about your assignments and exams) so it would be good if you could keep in contact with them after you have graduated and actually looking for a job.
I’d love to see more advice on the application process and what it means to prepare for an interview!
